I
like the friendships Ive been able to make with staff
and residents at Evangelical Home-Sterling Heights. I've met
wonderful people who Ill never forget! Evangelical has
been my home for several years. The staff takes good care
of me. Our Master Gardeners keep the Courtyard looking so
beautiful. We all enjoy the gardens during the good weather.

Our
father has resided at Mauser Hall for two years. We could
not be happier with his life and treatment at Mauser. Mauser
is small and very home-like. We have had many good times there
with residents and staff. We consider them all good friends.
Alzheimer's is difficult to deal with, and wed certainly
prefer not to; but given our fathers condition, we could
not think of a better living arrangement for him. Occasionally,
after a visit out with us, his first remark upon returning
to Mauser is, Home again!

I
would like to let you know just how wonderful Mauser Halls
environment and staff have been to my mother and our family.
When mom was diagnosed with dementia it was one of the most
horrible times in our lives. How could this be happening to
my mom, the best mom in the whole world? All I knew was I
was gonna get mom the best care that we could, and I know
in my heart that I have found the best care at Mauser Hall.
The staff at Mauser Hall is truly a godsend. The love and
kindness that Ive seen exhibited by the staff towards
the residents is so comforting. I would recommend Mauser Hall
to anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimers Disease.

Living
at Brecon Village has changed my life. I lived alone for many
years but was quite active with various groups. In my home,
however, there was no one sitting across the table from me;
no one with whom to share the events of the day; no one to
laugh with or to converse with about common place happenings.
Here at Brecon Village I have met people who have become my
friends. Our laughter at the dining table is contagious.

Brecon
Village has made me feel very comfortable. Part of the reason
is the warm surroundings, but mostly the reason has to do
with the friendly, outgoing staff. Brecon Village and its
staff are doing all they can do to make living here a truly
positive experience for me.

During
the nearly nine years my mother was a resident at Evangelical
Home-Port Huron, every effort was made to keep her comfortable
and happy. The staff was always cheerful and friendly and
kept me informed of any problems that would arise.

My
husband and I live in a two bedroom, 1&1/2 bath apartment
in the independent living apartments at Brecon Village. We
have our own kitchen and laundry but eat our meals in the
Dining Room. We chose Brecon Village because of its attractive,
well-maintained appearance. The facility is so convenient.
There are many activities for the residents. We use the library
and have joined the exercise class. We attend sing-alongs,
water-color painting classes and social gatherings. Brecon
Village is a friendly, pleasant place to live.

I
could not let my mothers passing go without sending
you a warm thank you from myself and my family. My mother
was admitted on December 17, 1996, and has always received
the best of care from this facility. Everyone in the Home
made her feel special and were always kind and very caring.
She felt more at home when she was transferred to B-Wing.
I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff on B-Wing. They
took such wonderful care of my mother, and made us all feel
so welcome. It truly takes special people to work in this
field, and we feel you have some of the best working for you
at EH-Saline.

I
want you to know how impressed I am with your staff. This
impression is formed from contact with many staff in a wide
variety of roles. When I experience such a consistently positive
impression with all the staff I have contact with, I know
something unique and superb is being done on an administrative
level. As a supervisor and therapist in social service agencies
for 36 years, I have worked with hundreds of employees in
the caregiving field. I know from my own experience that you
have created a sense of family among your staff that enables
them to do very demanding work. This positive influence enables
them to engage residents and families in a very, very respectful,
down-to-earth, professional manner. May God continue to bless
your work.

My
mother moved in to Primrose Place at Brecon Village a year
ago. I am so pleased that she is so happy there. I dont
have to wonder if she is eating 3 meals a day or taking her
medicines. It is a comfort there is staff at Primrose Place
24-hours a day. The staff are 100% dedicated.

I
would like to thank the staff at EH-Port Huron for the wonderful
care they gave me during my brief stay. The nurses, aides
and volunteers were all kind and caring. I was apprehensive
about being in a nursing home, but they made me feel at ease.
Thank you very much.

I
am writing on behalf of our family to express our sincere
gratitude for the wonderful, loving care our mother received
during her time at EH-Port Huron. For two years, all members
of our family saw daily evidence of her comfort, of the staffs
attention to even the smallest details, and the positive effect
to her of living in such a cordial and upbeat environment.
We have much gratitude for the aides who cared for her. We
want to express our thanks for the activity directors who
put their energies and hearts into creating good times for
her and other residents. And thanks to persons unknown who
maintain a cheerful building filled with an abundance of natural
light and, though often a thankless duty, maintain rooms and
assure cleanliness. Thank you very much for the many services
you so skillfully provide in such a thoughtful way.

Dear
Ms. Alexander:
Sending a hand written note of condolence to me and my family
was a much appreciated gesture in keeping with the quality
and class of service my mother received during her stay at
EH-Port Huron.
As I have said to you in person, every aspect of the Home
totally changed my opinion of nursing homes. I had some apprehension
regarding my mothers admission to the Home. That was
soon dispelled. Your staff was highly professional and very
caring. I thank you and all your staff for providing my mother
with an environment and care that diminished her suffering
during the last two months of her life.
Sincerely,
B.B., Family Member, EH-Port Huron
